track_avatars
Starts watching up to a list of avatars. Changes (movement, sitting, arriving, leaving) are sent as avatar_tracker_update webhook events.
Usage
curl -X POST "https://api.lifebots.cloud/api/bot.html" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"action": "track_avatars",
"apikey": "YOUR_API_KEY",
"botname": "Joe Resident",
"secret": "bot-secret-123",
"avatars": "a2e76fcd-9360-4f6d-a924-000000000000",
"dataType": "json"
}' Every request also needs apikey, botname and secret — see Authentication.
Parameters
| Name | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
avatarsstring | no | Avatar UUIDs separated by spaces or commas. Empty or missing stops tracking. |
Example response
{
"result": "OK",
"tracking": 1
} With dataType=json. A failure has result: "FAIL" and the reason in resulttext — see Responses & errors.
Good to know
- Each call replaces the whole list.
- Events are sent only when something changes, checked twice a second. Register a webhook with events=all to receive them.
