Commands › Region & estate
sim_restart
Schedule or cancel a region restart
Usage
curl -X POST "https://api.lifebots.cloud/api/bot.html" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"action": "sim_restart",
"apikey": "YOUR_API_KEY",
"botname": "Joe Resident",
"secret": "bot-secret-123",
"delay": "120",
"dataType": "json"
}' Every request also needs apikey, botname and secret — see Authentication.
Parameters
| Name | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
statestring | no | cancel to cancel; anything else schedules a restart. Default: begin |
delayinteger | no | Seconds until the restart, 30–240. Default: 120 |
Example response
{
"success": true,
"result": "OK",
"resulttext": "Region restart initiated (120s delay)"
} With dataType=json. A failure has result: "FAIL" and the reason in resulttext — see Responses & errors.
Good to know
- A delay outside 30–240 silently becomes 120.
- The bot must be an estate manager. Second Life enforces this; the call answers OK either way.
