automove

Also accepted as autowalk, navigateto

Walk to a point, finding a way around obstacles

Usage

curl -X POST "https://api.lifebots.cloud/api/bot.html" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
  "action": "automove",
  "apikey": "YOUR_API_KEY",
  "botname": "Joe Resident",
  "secret": "bot-secret-123",
  "coords": "128/128/25",
  "dataType": "json"
}'

Every request also needs apikey, botname and secret — see Authentication.

Parameters

NameRequiredDescription
coords
string
noRegion coordinates as "x/y/z". Required unless x, y and z are all sent.
x
number
noX coordinate (send with y and z instead of coords).
y
number
noY coordinate.
z
number
noZ coordinate.

Example response

{
  "success": true,
  "result": "OK",
  "resulttext": "Navigating to 128, 128, 25"
}

With dataType=json. A failure has result: "FAIL" and the reason in resulttext — see Responses & errors.

Good to know

  • Plans a path around objects in the region, then walks it in the background.
  • Always answers OK. If no path is found it gives up silently, and arrival is not reported.
  • A new automove replaces the previous one. Stop it with automovestop.
