Commands › Bot & webhooks
login
Starts the bot. Answers once the login attempt finishes, which can take up to a minute.
Usage
curl -X POST "https://api.lifebots.cloud/api/bot.html" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"action": "login",
"apikey": "YOUR_API_KEY",
"botname": "Joe Resident",
"secret": "bot-secret-123",
"dataType": "json"
}' Every request also needs apikey, botname and secret — see Authentication.
Parameters
| Name | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
sitonUUID | no | Object to sit on straight after logging in. |
Returns
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
resulttext | string | "Bot is already logged in" when it was already online. |
Example response
{
"result": "OK"
} With dataType=json. A failure has result: "FAIL" and the reason in resulttext — see Responses & errors.
Good to know
- There is no login location parameter — the bot logs in where Second Life puts it. Teleport afterwards if you need a specific place.
