sim_access

Ban or unban an avatar from the estate

Usage

curl -X POST "https://api.lifebots.cloud/api/bot.html" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
  "action": "sim_access",
  "apikey": "YOUR_API_KEY",
  "botname": "Joe Resident",
  "secret": "bot-secret-123",
  "avatar": "a2e76fcd-9360-4f6d-a924-000000000000",
  "operation": "ban",
  "dataType": "json"
}'

Every request also needs apikey, botname and secret — see Authentication.

Parameters

NameRequiredDescription
avatar
UUID
yesAvatar UUID.
Also accepted as: slkey
operation
string
yesban or unban (allow = unban, disallow = ban).
all_estates
flag
no1 to apply to every estate the bot manages.

Example response

{
  "success": true,
  "result": "OK",
  "resulttext": "User banned"
}

With dataType=json. A failure has result: "FAIL" and the reason in resulttext — see Responses & errors.

Good to know

  • Only the estate ban list is changed — allow and disallow do not edit the allowed-access list.
  • The bot must be an estate manager. Second Life enforces this; the call answers OK either way.
