Commands › Movement
steerto
Moves towards the point in the background, keeping decimal precision. Calling it again changes the target without stopping, so you can keep the bot following something.
Usage
curl -X POST "https://api.lifebots.cloud/api/bot.html" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"action": "steerto",
"apikey": "YOUR_API_KEY",
"botname": "Joe Resident",
"secret": "bot-secret-123",
"coords": "128/128/25",
"dataType": "json"
}' Every request also needs apikey, botname and secret — see Authentication.
Parameters
| Name | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
coordsstring | no | Region coordinates as "x/y/z". Required unless x, y and z are all sent. |
xnumber | no | X coordinate (send with y and z instead of coords). |
ynumber | no | Y coordinate. |
znumber | no | Z coordinate. |
slowflag | no | 1 or true to creep slowly and stop dead on arrival. |
Example response
{
"success": true,
"result": "OK",
"resulttext": "Moving to 128.0, 128.0, 25.0"
} With dataType=json. A failure has result: "FAIL" and the reason in resulttext — see Responses & errors.
Good to know
- Stops on arrival, after 3 seconds without progress, or 60 seconds after your last call.
- No event is sent on arrival.
- Sit, stand, teleport, walkto, automove and fly off all stop it.
