How to Update a Bot Password
Your bot password is used for logging the bot into Second Life. If you need to change or update this password, you can do so directly from the LifeBots dashboard.
Keeping your bot password up to date is important, especially if you have recently changed the password in Second Life or believe the credentials may be compromised.
To update a bot password
- Visit your LifeBots Dashboard at https://lifebots.cloud/dashboard
- Log in to your LifeBots account
- Click on the bot you want to update
- This will open the bot management panel
- Click on Edit Bot Login Details
- Update the bot password with the new correct password
- Save your changes
After saving, the new password will be used the next time the bot logs in. If the bot is currently online, you may need to restart or reconnect it for the change to take effect.
Important notes
- Make sure the password exactly matches the one set in Second Life, including capitalization
- Do not reuse old or shared passwords
- If login issues persist after updating, verify the bot username and password again
- If you suspect the password was exposed, change it immediately in both Second Life and the LifeBots dashboard
Regularly reviewing and updating bot login details helps keep your bots stable and secure.
