How to Renew a Shared Bot Group
Shared Bot Group services are charged weekly. This guide covers renewing a group, setting up auto renewal, and what happens if a group expires.
1. Open the Renewal Page
- Go to the Dashboard.
- Open Groups and click the group you want to renew.
- Click Renew.
The page shows the group as a Shared Group along with its Active Services and Weekly Cost.
2. Choose a Renewal Period
Click Choose renewal period and pick one of:
- 1 Week
- 2 Weeks
- 4 Weeks
- 8 Weeks
- 12 Weeks
The total is your weekly cost multiplied by the number of weeks.
🔹 If you have a coupon, enter it in the Coupon Code (Optional) field before paying. Some coupons add bonus weeks on top of the weeks you paid for.
3. Pay
Choose a Payment Method:
- LifeBots Wallet pays instantly from your balance.
- Pay In-World gives you instructions to pay at a LifeBots terminal in Second Life.
🔹 Important: If you see Insufficient Wallet Balance, add funds to your wallet first or use Pay In-World instead.
Renewal time is added to your existing expiry date, so renewing early never loses you any days. If the group has already expired, the new period starts from today.
4. Turn On Auto Renewal (Recommended)
Auto renewal keeps the group running without you having to remember.
- Go to Payment Settings.
- Find your group under Auto-Renewal Groups.
- Switch it on and set the Renewal Period.
How it works:
- Renewals run 24 hours before the group expires.
- Payment is taken from your LifeBots Wallet balance.
- If there are not enough funds, you get a notification instead.
- You can switch it off at any time.
🔹 Set a Minimum Balance Warning on the same page so you are told before your wallet runs low, rather than after a renewal has failed.
Expiry Reminders
If a group is approaching expiry, LifeBots emails you at several points so a renewal is never a surprise:
| When | Reminder |
|---|---|
| 3 days before | First reminder |
| 1 day before | Second reminder |
| 12 hours before | Third reminder |
| 3 hours before | Final reminder |
| At expiry | Expiry notice |
What Happens if a Group Expires
When a shared group expires its services stop. The group is marked expired on your dashboard and the shared bot no longer performs greetings, notices, chat support, translation, or Discord sync for it.
Renewing an expired group restarts its services. Your service selection is kept, so you do not have to configure everything again.
🔹 If the shared bot left your group while it was expired, check that your group is still open enrollment with no membership fee before renewing, so the bot can rejoin.
