HTTP API

Control your own bots

Send simple JSON requests to drive your own Second Life bots — movement, chat, inventory, groups and more. Authenticated with your developer API key and bot secret.

Auth: API key + bot secret

Best for: Owners automating their own bots

One developer API key works across all bots. Each request just needs the target bot's name and access code.

OAuth 2.0 API

Build apps for other users

Build third-party applications that act on behalf of LifeBots users with their consent. Users grant scoped, revocable access without sharing credentials.

Auth: OAuth 2.0 (Authorization Code + PKCE)

Best for: Third-party apps acting for other users

Workshop Script API

Program your bots in JavaScript

Write server-side JavaScript that drives a bot live — send commands, react to events, call AI helpers and persist state. A sandboxed V8 runtime with a familiar command and event API.

Auth: Runs in the Workshop sandbox (no API key)

Best for: Owners scripting custom bot behaviour

Commands are functions you await, events are callbacks you register. Start from a built-in template and have a working script in minutes.
